I tried this in 0.63 and once you take off the land and sky corrupt. The Windows XP build it DOS prompt actually does a better job of running F-19 that Dosbox (if you can stand the lack of adlib emulation). I found exactly the same problem when I tried to run it under Windows XP. Screen Corruption in 0.63 confirmed ( 23:31) ![]() OTOH, the controls still felt OK, although the sound was a bit off (though that was probably more the frameskip / CPU side, than the emulator - at some settings, the intro tune was just about recognisable) I thought that it was a screen redraw problem, as I had to keep tweaking the frame skipping and CPU cycles to get something that was playable on a 450MHz G3. I can confirm that the aforementioned screen-corruption issues did in fact exist while running F-19 Stealth Fighter in DOSBox 0.63 (it seems to have terrible problems with updating the screen), but this issue has been fixed ever since DOSBox version 0.65. Screen corruption has long been fixed ( 03:42) ![]() The title song will sound weird, but the rest of the sounds are like it would be with the last version. If you really want adlib sound in your 403.00 game, you can copy the ASOUND.EXE from F-15 Strike Eagle II into the F19 directory, and then run it by typing "f19 /aa". The last version (403.04) supports adlib and has some other changes/additions. If you don't keep it from back then (a mistake I made and I still regret), bear in mind that the version around the abandon sites is the first one (403.0), with some bugs and lack of adlib support. ![]() The game DID support adLib emulation, but in later versions. I can't seem to find the link to download this game. However a cute little twist in the game went as follows. The Frisbee was a conceptual design that didnt take. Of course they are both exactly the same thing. ![]() This is a shame cause it's such a cool game. The F-19 'Frisbee' (or what we now know as the F-117 'Wobblin Gobblin') are the two aircraft available to fly in this. It seems to stall in the END executable.Ĭhecked in two different PCs. Nonetheless, even with DOSBox 0.74 the game stalls after a mission, regardless of its result. The only site I managed to find the game in its latest patched version (435.04) with the extra AdLib sounds has been.
